Already a month?!

Ahhh….finally have the time write again…

after close to a month long hiatus…heheh

A lot has happen in this one month,

The biggest two news is the new boardgames hahaha….

I finally got it! after waitting on months and months..

Ahhh….i feel so at peace with myself after getting the Agricola….

And yes it plays superbly, love it, adore it, impressed by it….

Race for the galaxy is a trickier one to play compare to Agricola…

Whilst Agricola has us all play farmer, Rftg has us conquering/exploring the galaxy…

I will put up pics of gaming session, if Elyas would actually be free, so far i’ve played it with irene…

Eddy’s been MIA for a while…i don’t wanna disturb him..but eddy if you reading this give me a call

Anyway back to the stuff…

I’ve played Agricola 7 times now, And Rftg bout 5 if i’m not mistaken…

Both games superb…

Now for the Essen 08′ Aftermath report..

I want Dominion !

In just less than a month Dominion has climb the ranks of boardgamegeek exponantially..

it was 200 beginning of the month….then it was 58 or 56 in the middle of the month…and now closing to the end….it’s 12

that’s quite a climb…

In the future, sometime after the First or Second Infopocalypse, Internet Historians will set about recovering information from the internet’s early days. What interesting and thoroughly wrong conclusions they’ll draw about the state of modern society by studying the internet, where everything is magnified.

To that end, I have done an anthropological analysis of the Boardgaming Religions for the benefit of future Internet Historians.

The Agricolytes

Agricolytes are a relatively peaceful religious group, devoted to the principles of not directly harming anyone else, and a harmonious agrarian life with a heavy emphasis on family relationships.

The Righteous Order of Ameritrashers

Ameritrashers central beliefs revolve around the concept that life is fickle, mysterious, and beholden to the vagaries of fate and cannot be rationalized or broken down to a simple set of rules or interactions. Ameritrashers believe in a concept called “theme” that is often misunderstood or belittled by those outside the church.

The Universal Church of the Eurogamer

The Eurogamer’s professed values are simultaneously elegance, depth, and simplicity. Eurogamers believe that every action ought to be important, and, wherever possible, the patron saint of the Ameritrashers, Lady Luck, should be excluded.
There is great debate among religious scholars whether Eurogamers worship the same pantheon of gods that their arch-nemesis Ameritrashers worship but to different degrees, or whether the Eurogamers actually hold Ameritrasher gods as evil.

The Abstractors

Abstractors hold that there is no higher power, no Lady Luck, no mysterious “theme” that binds games and players together–that nothing like that exists.
Abstractors believe in math, and mechanics. Their views are characterized as heresy by the Ameritrashers and as extreme ascetism by the Eurogamers and thus the Abstractors are unwelcome in both camps.

The Grognards

Members of the Brotherhood are easily recognized by their paint stained fingers, incomprehensible talk to those outside their own sect, and discussions of such foreign terms as “mecha-melters” and “heavy bolters.”

The Hordes of the Great Unwashed

This cult is by far the most numerous in the world. The Hordes of the Great Unwashed only know of one game, Monopoly, and when they come into contact with other games, they ask if that game is “like Monopoly”.

The enormous number of members of the order of collectilism cant be forgotten

They all worship the sound of boosterpacks opening. Always on the look out for that one Black Lotus. Tapping their cards to draw mana to cast their nasty monsters meanwhile draining the life points from their opponents.

Tiring day seriously…this is why i hate travelling…

and the strange thing is that sore throat and fever are bound to follow me when i get to kl everytime..

Now also the sore throat still remains even after lots of citrus drinks, one panadol, lots of water and even a diflam (meds for sore throat)..

Now just transfering games from gen’s com to psp to ad-hoc game..and tommorow is boardgame hunting day and dating at the same time…probably will go to

Clubs and raves…

The difference between a rave and a club…btw club such a big dissapointment…

just got back actually from a long hiatus from clubbin’

finally headed to one…so far i heard one of the most happening club penang…Mois…

No idea why it’s called that..moisture probably…cause that’s what everybody was feeling when being in there after 2 hours…

So pictures will be posted up when nerissa sends me the pics…

ok so it went like so..

Dolly and nerissa picked me up, headed to pick lynn up (nick’s sister) waited 30 minutes just for lynn to decide what to wear…

black la, red la, jeans la, skirt la,….all the la’s and mah’s…

eventually after all that we left for Mois…

Upon reaching, we gave the keys to the jockey….cheapest jockey i’ve ever seen for such a happening place….5 bucks…

it’s friggin full of people!

we got la la’s one corner, ah bengs one corner, trendyfu*ks one corner, even ah peks also around…but at the nearby coffee shop checking out the young livestocks..

Went in…partly packed…after 2 hours or so of RnB and hip hop….still no trance…when bennassi song came on it was like god decided to throw me a bone…

so syiok’ la! all the way…

unfortunately it ended and continued with all the RnB ketams…

its been a while since i’ve seen so many chicks congregated in one area…last was in singapore..hahaha

don’t angry ya darlin’ me love you long time… XD

it was fun la at the end of the day…

damm lazy wanna write all the details…all i can say is at LEAST still managed to dance to bennassi..

signed it, and all and ran back in with box in hand…

I really felt like a rum tycoon first round and Cigar tycoon the 2nd round…

irene tapao’ed me both rounds…crazy…first round she went all shipping…

2nd went shipping also but with rum production….

Really good game…

was too into the game to take pictures…
